A pair of gold tone metal and clear paste clip earrings by Guy Laroche

These very stylish earrings are by Guy Laroche. Each earring is a dome shaped disc of gold tone metal decorated with circles of small stipples with a large round clear paste stone in the centre set in a rub over setting. There is a plaque on the back of each earring stamped Guy Laroche and each clip is marked Guy Laroche.

Guy Laroche began his career in millinery and went to work for Jean Desses in 1949 becoming his assistant. He went to the States in 1955 to look at the ready to wear market and opened his own fashion house in 1957. He died in 1989 but the label continues.
